Favorite Outdoor Exploring

Go Out and Explore

I need some adventure.

And when I say that you might think I want this epic quest where I fight off trolls and evil woodland creatures and sacrifice myself for the good of all human and animal kind…but really, I kinda just want a solo adventure where I explore the great outdoors and maybe pick some wildflowers.

Some quality time outside feels a much needed remedy to weird complicated feelings I’ve been feeling. I just need to BREATHE. I almost feel as if I’ve been holding in my breath and just need a way to relax. Exploring outside helps me with these feelings. It’s meditative and feels almost cleansing to get away from your city and breath in fresher air.

I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite local outdoor spots in case you needed some inspiration to spend time outside.

Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument

Such a magical place full of color and texture inspiration too!

Abiquiu Lake

We don’t live near many large bodies of water so it’s nice to go a little further out of town to experience something so lovely.

Sun Mountain

Such a beautiful hike that is actually very close to the city but makes you feel further way. It’s quiet and the views are incredible.

Hyde Memorial State Park

So many different trails and so much beauty to experience.

But I really can’t wait for Autumn. Because of this magic…

Maybe you’ve been feeling down, lost, or lonely. Maybe you’ve been feeling things that are just too complicated to explain, I’ve been there. All I can do is encourage you to feel that feeling and then act. Go for a walk or a hike. Find beauty in something new. Make your own adventure and don’t forget to BREATHE.
